This is a true one of a kind piece, I handmade this contemporary take on a MCM (mid century modern) design.
 
I created this design from paper, to end product.
 
This piece was created from a 1&1/2" thick slab of live edge Walnut. I milled the wood wood myself, used traditional joinery to ensure a all pieces connected were seamless, not one screw was used.
 
The legs were made from 1" thick walnut using contemporary obtuse angles to show a modern approach to traditional MCM legs, and 1/4" round over on the front of the legs gives it a organic look to the angled feet.
 
The table top was was sanded to 1000 grit which gives the top a smooth to the touch feel and was finished in a high-end hard wax finish for a semi gloss shine. A 45degree chamfer was add to the bottom of the table top for a more contemporary look.
 
Dimensions are 28" diameter and 19" tall. This is truly a artistic piece and will last for years to come as it was made from some of the most expensive and beautiful hardwood here in the US.
